The Fifth Annual Solidarity Summit on Homelessness is scheduled for Saturday, September 12. Our theme is “This Is What Organizing Looks Like.”

This all-day event provides a space for the movement to gather, network, and strategize about organizing – focusing on the right to housing, stability, and health in all its dimensions.

It is sponsored by Sacramento Homeless Organizing Committee (SHOC), Sacramento Poor People’s Campaign (PPC), and the Black Parallel School (BPSB), as well as many other community organizations.

Our morning program will include “tabletops” of community organizations who will brainstorm and report on the Solidarity Summit’s theme. Our afternoon program will include showers and haircuts.

Safe Ground Sacramento, the Sacramento Valley Tenants Union, Hope Cooperative, Sacramento Poor People’s Campaign/Black Hygiene and Hair Project, and Be Your Own Boss (BYOB) are now being confirmed as “tabletop” participants!
